Face Off – Polar Bear

I chose a simple composition for this painting. The background is minimal as is the habitat of the polar bear. Its domain is miles and miles of ice floe and Arctic coast - white, blue and gray. A strong light source is muted by tiny crystals of ice floating in the air. The polar bear, coat or pelage yellowed by years, confronts us. The next move is up to us. - Terry Isaac
