The Scholar
I look back on my early school days with fond memories now, but, at the time, I didn't like school. My mind would wander, and I spent most of my time daydreaming and drawing pictures. The days in school seemed long, and I wanted them to be over so I could escape into my world of make-believe and pretend. Everyone needs time alone. Wonderful thoughts come only from within; maybe daydreams are a way for them to surface. Everyone needs these moments, even worldly scholars like the boy in my painting. - Jim Daly
