Buck Rake
"'Buck Rake' portrays a scene I witnessed firsthand in the Big Hole Valley of Montana: the old-fashioned method of haying. Years ago haying was done by pairs of drafting horses who hauled a buck rake between them. The buck rake would gather the hay into stacks where it was stored until it was fed out to cattle during the winter months. Today the process is largely mechanized but a few years ago some friends of mine decided to use their draft horses to help with the haying and I was fortunate enough to be there." - Tucker Smith
