Bugged Bear
"One day I was following a hillside trail in Canada's Jasper National Park when I spotted a great blue heron fishing a shallow mountain pool. I crept quietly through the trees and brush to reach a good vantage point, and snapped a couple of photos. I then stepped down directly at the big, unmistakably fresh tracks of a grizzly bear. At the time those footprints in the mud were the closest I'd ever come to a grizzly. Since then I've seen and even photographed them - at a distance - and I'd just as soon picture them happily sleeping off a big meal, nestled in a hillside of wild flowers!" - Bev Doolittle
