Without question, chickadees are one of my favorite songbirds. I see them every day at my backyard feeders. They seem to have a bubbly personality. They also have a cheery song and tend to be fearless - coming right up to me as I refill the feeders.

My neighbor has a wonderful garden with a great variety of flowers. Nearly every day, I drive or walk by her home. With the neutral colors of the chickadee and the dash of color provided by the variety of sweet pea blossoms - it was a combination I couldn't resist painting.
