Dreamers
On a warm summer's day on Cape Cod, two boys have taken a horse and buggy to the dunes where they can dream away the day. A fireman's horn at the side of the boy on the hill suggests that any moment the quiet may be exuberantly broken. Will the boy imagine he is a ship's captain who blows the horn when he sights land? Will he imagine he is a cavalry officer signaling the command to charge? What do they see in the clouds and what faraway places are they dreaming about? The possibilities are as endless as the sky and sea they gaze upon. - Charles Wysocki
