Friends Forever
It was fun painting these little characters. They posed silently for me as I painted them from life. No five-minute break every twenty-five minutes; they just sat there, and we shared the silence together, or at times, they listened to music along with me as I painted. Sometimes they would have a disagreement amongst themselves or someone would feel left out and there would be some pouting or jealousy. I don't know for sure, but I think there was a bit of a love triangle going on. This little drama went on day after day, long into the nights, as the seven of us kept each other company. - Jim Daly
