The inspiration for this painting began when I was reading about the kind of flowers I could plant in my flower garden to attract more butterflies. Somewhere, the idea began to grow from a flower bed into a painting. My flower bed is still in the planning stages, but the painting blooms on. Garden Party will never become overrun by weeds or give way to a winter's cold; it will always remain a summer party for butterflies. - Arleta Pech
