Last Light of Winter
Idaho’s Lake Pend Oreille has been admired for centuries, first by the Native Americans who drank from its still, clean water, then by the white men who came to hunt at its shores.
“I like wildlife to play an incidental role in most of my landscapes,” said Stephen Lyman. “The flying Canada geese, deer and crescent moon may not be evident on the first glance of this spectacular winter sunset. I try to suggest something that underlies the visible landscape, just as the ripples of the waves.”
