Near Journey’s End
Traveling through the inhospitable wilderness, hoping to avoid a chance encounter with a hostile Blackfoot war part, the trappers kept to the solitude of thick pine forests and woods.
Emerging from the solitude of the woods, accompanied by their dogs, the trappers arrived at the edge of a frozen lake and knew they were near their journey's end. Soon they would be joining their fellow trappers at camp and setting their beaver traps... it was a good journey.
