The title refers to a culture that for many centuries was fairly isolated and while they traded and warred amongst themselves once Europeans came they became a society of trade that occupied themselves with trading blankets, bells and Beads. Of course, other items were traded, guns etc. but we are perhaps focusing on the softer side of trade. - Brent Flory
