Colorado artist Deborah Bays spent most of her working life designing costumes and sets for the theater and opera. A few years ago, she decided to fulfill a life-long dream and pursue fine art. She began working full time with pastels. Summer Solitude is a study in diffused light. It is soft, but very romantic.
