Agile and active, chickadees seem in perpetual motion. Often in groups, these small birds are regulars at backyard feeders, including mine, feasting on the sunflower seeds we provide.

Sunflowers turn toward the sun. This particular flower is immature, but still is a good place for a black-capped chickadee to find a meal of insects or spiders... or the birds could just be sunbathing, like the sunflower.
