The Cut Bank
Two great migrations have forever shaped our vision of the Plains. Water, starting as rain or snow, became rivers that twisted and turned over and through the landscape on a constant search for a passage to the sea. And the great herds of Bison who, in traveling their vast cyclical paths in search of forage, created and sustained entire peoples and cultures across the center of the continent.
Tucker Smith says that when he designs a painting he “tries to avoid monotony in the composition.” The oversized MasterWork Canvas "The Cut Bank" captures the magnitude of both the dynamic landscape and the massive beast that are the spirit of Great Plains.
