However, white trappers have written of endless confrontations with Indians, and in many cases when the trappers were outnumbered, the outcome usually went in favor of the Indians. Here, the Indians are Crow who were inclined to be less hostile than, for instance, the Blackfeet. He will no doubt have to give up some of his plunder and possibly his horses, but hopefully he will escape with his hide intact." - Howard Terpning
