"The Summons: And Then They Are One" is part of a series of fine art prints - The Spellbound Edition - by artist Tom Cross. Throughout the tapestry of nature a common thread runs true. Woven on a loom of enchantment and spun from the fibers of all that is magical throughout the realms of nature -- Fire, Air, Earth and Water -- this thread holds together the delicate balance between the elements. Through each of the realms traveled there is also a deliberate and appropriate exploration of the role color has in nature and on Trapped Magic. Each piece in the edition is steeped in the colors of its magic. And just as it should be, this piece shows a wizard draped in white, representing the presence of all colors; and right on cue, the rainbow trail bursts through the window to deliver the Shepherds of Magic, each surrounded by an aura of color that is of their element.

Last, but not least, is the significance of of the Trapped Magic that resonates throughout each of the Spellbound pieces and all of nature. Trapped Magic is all that fascinates us, stymies us with its beauty or amazes us with its subtle and unfathomable power; simply put, it is the wonders of the world around us. And to each one of us it shows a bit differently, in ways both wondrous and complex. But rest assured, should you see the shape of the star, indeed you have found, and have been left, spellbound. It may seem that the circle of enchantment has closed, but with the Spellbound Edition, as with any tale worth telling, the end is never at hand.
