Through the Vines
If Mother Nature were a winemaker, then Alexander Valley is where she would live. Ancient vintners would have reveled in the abundance of the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Winding along the valley floor, the beautiful Russian River flows past hillsides that flank it to the east and west, creating throughout the valley a diversity of microclimates that support the growth of many wine grape varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes thrive from the valley floor all the way up the rolling hillsides and mountain ridges. The gravelly loam soils straddling the river encourage Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot to flourish.
Alexander Valley is also home to Zinfandel and Rhone varieties, including Syrah and Viognier. Alexander Valley is the perfect blend of charm, sophistication, and the easy confidence of people (and grapes) comfortable in their own skin.
