Magical moments in nature are all a matter of timing - being at the right place at the right time. Last winter, I went to Yosemite National Park for field word and reference gathering. The first few days were pretty much of a wash-out - literally. It rained non-stop. The following morning the sun came out and started to warm up the rain-soaked earth. At that moment, the mist rose and shafts of light came through the trees and mist, creating an ethereal effect I couldn't resist painting. - Terry Isaac
