I believe many people misunderstand the value of original prints. To me, they offer an artist the ability to reproduce handmade graphics exactly as the artist's mark is left on the stone, mylar, copper plate, etc. It is not changed, however, slightly, by the lenses of modern printing methods.
It is a method of the ages - of da Vinci and Michelangelo. It's value is showing the beauty of a spontaneous line of crayon or pencil, a loose wash of ink or tusche, or the exquisite monotones of sepia. The process of original printmaking is the stage where these ancient media do their solo performances. Reproducing the more involved symphonies of painting, drawing, color, blending, form, etc. belong to the modern full-color lens of machines.
"Playful Moment" is a simple sketch of a tiger cub learning to use its paws on the chin of a very patient tigress mother.
